Lizza Hasan

Resident Feature Artist of Temple Nights

For Lizza Hasan, dance is more than performance—it is heritage, passion, and a connection to the soul.

Born to Libyan parents, Lizza grew up surrounded by the legendary music of Abdel Wahab, Farid El Atrash, and Umm Kalthum. Music became an essential part of her life, eventually leading to a professional career as a singer and recording artist. At the height of her singing career, Lizza and her band performed before more than 400,000 people at the European Woodstock Festival in Poland.

After discovering belly dance, Lizza found a new expression for her love of music, culture, and performance. She immersed herself in classical and folkloric dance, studying with internationally renowned artists including Yousry Sharif, Tito Seif, Randa Kamal, Wael Mansour, Aida Nour, and Kareem Gad. She later became a certified belly dance instructor in New York.

Today, Lizza brings a lifetime of music, movement, culture, and extraordinary stage presence to her performances and teaching.

The House of Zhor is honored to welcome Lizza Hasan as a Resident Feature Artist of Temple Nights—celebrating the passion, heritage, artistry, and magic of belly dance.
